David B. Smith is a Hawaii-born artist/printmaker who works primarily in stone and photographic plate lithography.

He received his BFA in Fine Art Printmaking from the University of Hawaii in 1987 and his Higher Diploma in Fine Art from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London in 1991.

In 2005 Smith was elected to the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, London, England as an Associate Royal Etcher (ARE).
